Al Franken Wins. . . Finally

He's good enough, he's smart enough, and, gosh darn it, he's always had more recounted votes than Norm Coleman. And the Minnesota Supreme Court today confirmed it unanimously.

Mr. Coleman should now concede, as he has said, “If you ask me what I would do, I would step back."

Ah, but that was before the recounts, when Coleman led Franken.

I respect differences in political views, but politically expedient hypocrisy, that's whole 'nother matter.

Bring on the cloture, baby!

Minnesota Senate Recount: Was It the Dukes? Was It the Dukes?

"I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, we've finally figured out that enough people voted to make me the new junior senator from Minnesota."

And the incumbent, who said on Election Night that Franken, for the good of the state, should concede? His lawsuit got tossed out today.

I don't know. Sen. Al Franken must still account for the whereabouts of one Clarence Beeks, last seen on a train outside of Philadelphia. Check out the video @ 3:30:

The Minnesota Senate Recount Goes Super Meta High Tech

You have specialized reporting sites, up-to-the-minute vote counts, and even the opportunity to virtually re-enact the process of judging challenged votes.

As Andrew Sullivan notes, that last feature is quite meta, no?

No saints in this game, far as I can tell. ^
