This has nothing to do with "book learnin'" being a foreign concept. The works of J.R.R. Tolkien are hardly subjects you'd refer to as "book learnin'" anyway.<BR/><BR/>The disconnect, I hate to say, is found right here in this post. It is this attitude, this assigned "da-hyuck" kind of personality that people take umbrage to. Don't get me wrong, I think cariactures are as funny as the next guy, but when the prevailing attitude seems to be "Either you agree with me or you're an inbred retard," (or outright evil, as the bumper sticker would have you believe) you're going to have a problem reaching across the aisle.<BR/><BR/>And really, that attitude goes against what all those hippy pinko commie leftists stand for anyway, right? Isn't important to recognize that everybody is great and special and equal, even if you're inbred and retarded?
